A high level of awareness of safety issues in skydiving is essential, as due to the height above the ground, the dependence on equipment, the specific knowledge and skills required, certain skills must be regularly brought to mind in order to practice this sport safely.
There are also a number of factors that you need to have under control, but which are often not directly controllable, such as the weather or other jumpers in the air and on the ground. A comprehensive safety concept, including good training and supervision, also helps to maintain or even improve the high standards that we maintain at Swiss Skydive schools and companies in Switzerland.
The many tools that have been developed over the past decades are building blocks of the Safety Management System, which lists all leap processes with regard to safety. Every incident, every accident or generally every safety-relevant event has a history, a progression, a logic. Accordingly, we should always be aware of these processes, consciously approach our actions in skydiving and, at best, always reflect critically on them.
