Camp 2 of the Swiss Big Way Sequebtial Record project
Blue skies, bright sunshine and perfect conditions - the weekend of September 6/7, 2025 could not have been better for the "Swiss Skydive RW Sequential Camp" at the Para-Centro Locarno. Experienced large formation skydivers and curious newcomers traveled from all regions of Switzerland to experience the fascination of RW formation skydiving together.
From one, and later even two Pilatus Porters, the participants conjured up impressive formations in the Ticino sky. From jump to jump, not only did the complexity of the sequences increase, but also the team spirit - and the enthusiasm grew with every successful docking movement. Everyone was able to hone their RW skills and coordinate their sequences more and more precisely.
On Saturday evening, the participants continued to talk shop over a cozy risotto and barbecue. It became clear how lasting an effect this camp had on the participants:
"The event showed me a side of skydiving that I haven't seen for many years as a long-time freeflyer. The two days really challenged me in a positive way and it was exciting to be 'out of the comfort zone' with something familiar."
"It was fascinating to see that every little detail counts in a large formation. The formation can only succeed if everyone is prepared to give their all."
It is particularly important to us that inexperienced formation skydivers are also welcome to join our record-breaking project. In the RW camps, they can approach large formation flying step by step. There are several levels that we specifically address: From the first safe docking to more complex formations. This progression in small, easy-to-understand steps makes it possible to discover new talents, develop them individually and integrate them into larger formations in the long term. In this way, a strong, well-coordinated group can gradually emerge - with a common goal: attacking the Swiss record in the large formation!
More RW Sequential Camps will be held in 2026 for this very purpose. The exact dates will be published shortly.
